HVAC Technician

Randstad has partnered with a leading facilities management provider to recruit an experienced HVAC Technician for their dedicated team in Caboolture.

In this role, you will be joining our client’s established on-site maintenance team, responsible for the upkeep of a major health infrastructure precinct. This is a fantastic opportunity to move away from "van-based" reactive work and secure a stable, long-term position within a government-sector environment.

Pay & Lifestyle

• Hourly Rate: $56.95 per hour + Super.

• Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a 9-day fortnight roster.

• Overtime Opportunities: While the roster provides great balance, there are periodic opportunities for overtime to support site-specific projects and seasonal peaks.

The Location Based permanently at a Caboolture site, you will benefit from a fixed location, no daily travel across South East Queensland, and the professional standards of a high-security government facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and reactive repairs on large-scale commercial HVAC plant (Chillers, AHUs, and Package Units).

• Conduct diagnostic fault-finding to ensure 100% uptime for critical climate systems.

• Work as part of the client's integrated facilities team to deliver minor system upgrades.

• Maintain high standards of safety and digital reporting in line with site requirements.

Requirements:

• Cert III in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.

• Restricted Electrical Licence (Essential).

• Current QBCC Licence (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning).

• Proven experience in commercial, industrial, or institutional maintenance.

• Ability to pass a standard National Police Check for site access.
